3d Printing Battery Caps for the Chevy Volt Modules

The chevy volt modules are great for diy projects including power walls, electric vehicles, ebikes, and pretty much anything project that requires large amounts of power storage. One of the big problems with the Chevy Volt pack is that it can only be broken down into 12s (48v) and 6s (24v) “modules” with loads of exposed tabs on the top. Literally any metal or conductive material will certainly lead to a bad time including property damage or personal injury. After watching a few lithium car fires, and a few stories of peoples’ houses burning down from batteries I decided to 3d print some caps to at least reduce my risk.

The video shows how to create your own cap in fusion 360, or you can just download the .stl files for the 12s and 6s packs right here!
